About

Jono (He/Him) is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting young people, adults, and families through Community Mental Health Services, Acute Care, Child Protection/Housing Support, and Adolescent Drug and Alcohol Support in Sydney and London.

Working collaboratively, we seek to gain insight into how our past impacts our present. Unfortunately, most people have experienced trauma in varying degrees. How we process trauma can create different inner parts of self, create disconnect from our emotions and strengthen unhealthy coping strategies.

My trauma-informed therapy focuses on becoming curious and connecting with all our different parts. Learning how to manage our parts and create healthier coping strategies to respond to the challenging world we live in and face looking forward.

Jono works from a strengths, trauma-informed approach, underpinning his practice with Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.

Jono is also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.
